Description
These homemade 3-Ingredient Mounds Bars combine sweetened shredded coconut, condensed milk, and chocolate to create a chewy, chocolate-coated treat reminiscent of the classic candy bar.
Ingredients
- 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, stir together the coconut and condensed milk until it forms a sticky, cohesive mixture.
- Wet your hands and shape the mixture into 12 small logs, placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze the logs for 20–30 minutes until firm.
- Melt two-thirds of the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. Once melted, stir in the remaining chips until smooth.
- Use two forks to dip each frozen coconut log into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off.
- Place the dipped bars back on the parchment and chill until the chocolate hardens.
- Once set, the bars are ready to serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Wet hands help shape the mixture more easily without sticking.
- Milk or white chocolate can be used instead of dark for a sweeter taste.
- Freeze logs thoroughly before dipping to maintain shape.
- Store in fridge or freezer for longer shelf life.
