Description

These Air Fryer Honey Butter Garlic Chicken Tenders are crispy, sweet, and savory with a rich garlic-honey-butter glaze. Quick to prepare and healthier than traditional fried versions, they’re perfect for weeknight dinners or party snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Set up a dredging station with seasoned flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Coat each chicken tender in flour, then egg, and finally panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Place tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking oil.
  6. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add honey and minced garlic, simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  8. Toss cooked tenders in the honey butter garlic sauce until fully coated.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Add hot sauce or red pepper flakes to the glaze for a spicy kick.
  • Use chicken breast strips if tenders aren’t available.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4–5 minutes for best texture.
