These Air Fryer Honey Butter Garlic Chicken Tenders are crispy, sweet, and savory with a rich garlic-honey-butter glaze. Quick to prepare and healthier than traditional fried versions, they’re perfect for weeknight dinners or party snacks.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Set up a dredging station with seasoned flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
- Coat each chicken tender in flour, then egg, and finally panko breadcrumbs.
- Place tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking oil.
- Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add honey and minced garlic, simmer for 1–2 minutes.
- Toss cooked tenders in the honey butter garlic sauce until fully coated.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Add hot sauce or red pepper flakes to the glaze for a spicy kick.
- Use chicken breast strips if tenders aren’t available.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4–5 minutes for best texture.
