Description

This delicious Apple Bread recipe combines tender, moist bread infused with warm cinnamon and juicy diced apples, perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert. With a soft crumb and a sweet cinnamon-sugar swirl topping, this homemade bread offers comforting flavors that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups white granulated sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • ⅔ cup vegetable oil

Additional Ingredients

  • 1 cup apples, diced and peeled
  • ⅔ cup white granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pans: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pans thoroughly to prevent sticking.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups sugar, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon until evenly mixed. Set this mixture aside.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: Using a stand mixer or a large mixing bowl with a beater attachment, beat the eggs, milk, and vegetable oil until just combined and smooth.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just moistened. Avoid overmixing to ensure tender bread. Fold in the diced, peeled apples along with additional cinnamon.
  5. Fill Pans: Divide the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pans, filling each to about two-thirds full to allow space for rising.
  6. Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Topping: In a small bowl, combine ⅔ cup sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the batter in each loaf pan. Lightly swirl the topping into the batter using a knife for marbled flavor.
  7. Bake the Bread: Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean, indicating it is fully baked.

Notes

  • Make sure apples are peeled and diced into small, uniform pieces to ensure even distribution and proper cooking.
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread light and fluffy.
  • You can substitute vegetable oil with melted butter for a richer flavor if desired.
  • Adjust the sugar and cinnamon topping based on your preferred sweetness level.
  • Allow bread to cool in the pans for 10-15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
