Description

These Apple Pie Biscuits combine the warm, cozy flavors of classic apple pie with the ease of refrigerated biscuit dough. Perfect for fall, this quick and comforting pastry features cinnamon-spiced apple filling wrapped in buttery biscuits and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze. A crowd-pleasing, easy apple dessert ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • For the Biscuits
  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits (e.g., Pillsbury Grands)
  • 1 cup apple pie filling, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Topping (Optional)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon sugar
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare Filling: Chop apple pie filling into chunks. Mix with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  3. Assemble Biscuits: Flatten each biscuit into a 4–5 inch circle. Add 1 tbsp apple filling to the center. Fold and pinch edges to seal. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 13–15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Make Glaze: While baking, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Glaze and Top: Cool biscuits for 5 minutes, then drizzle with glaze. Optionally, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and chopped nuts.

Notes

  • Use homemade apple pie filling for a personal touch.
  • Ensure biscuit edges are sealed well to prevent leaks.
  • Add caramel drizzle or swap vanilla for maple syrup for variations.
  • Reheat in the oven or microwave; store in an airtight container.
