Description

Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are juicy grilled chicken pieces coated in a creamy, spicy, and tangy sauce. Perfect for summer BBQs, appetizers, or weeknight dinners, these skewers are packed with bold flavors and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for brushing
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes if using.
  2. Season chicken cubes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Thread the seasoned chicken onto skewers, leaving slight space between pieces.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
  5. Grill skewers for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey (if using), and lime juice until smooth.
  7. Once chicken is done, brush or drizzle the Bang Bang sauce generously over the skewers.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds, if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness.
  • Adjust sriracha to control spice level.
  • Sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated.
  • Skewers can be baked at 400°F for 20–25 minutes if grill is unavailable.
  • Leftovers store well and are great for meal prep.
