Description
Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta combines tender shrimp with a creamy, spicy Asian-inspired sauce over pasta for a quick, flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine pasta
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- ⅓ cup sweet chili sauce
- Juice of 2 limes
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 12 ounces medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, lime juice, and sriracha. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with minced garlic, paprika, salt, and onion powder until well coated.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until nearly opaque.
- Stir in the prepared sauce and cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce simmers and thickens.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the sriracha to control the spice level.
- Use chicken or tofu as a protein alternative.
- Add vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for variety.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently over low heat to avoid overcooking shrimp.
