Description

A no‑bake, crunchy, chocolate‑peanut buttery snack with bits of Butterfinger candy—perfect for parties or sweet cravings.


Ingredients

  • 7 cups Rice Chex Cereal
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 18 fun‑size Butterfinger candy bars (15 crushed, 3 roughly chopped for garnish)
  • 1 ¼ cup powdered sugar, sifted

Instructions

  1. Add the cereal to an extra‑large bowl.
  2. In a microwave‑safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Drizzle the chocolate‑peanut butter mixture over the cereal; gently stir (fold) to coat evenly.
  5. Stir in the 15 crushed Butterfinger candy bars.
  6. Transfer the coated cereal to a large (2‑gallon) Ziploc bag or bowl, add powdered sugar, and shake or stir until fully coated.
  7. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet to dry.
  8. Just before serving, sprinkle the 3 roughly chopped Butterfinger bars on top as garnish.

Notes

  • Milk chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, or candy melts can be substituted for the semi‑sweet chips.
  • You can use a mix of rice, corn, and wheat Chex for varied texture.
