Description

This Cherry Earl Grey Milk Tea blends the floral aroma of Earl Grey tea with the sweet-tart punch of cherries and creamy milk. Perfect for a warm or iced treat, it offers a luxurious yet soothing beverage experience that’s easy to make and ideal for any time of day.

Ingredients

2 cups water

2 Earl Grey tea bags

½ cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved

2 tablespoons cherry syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)

1 tablespoon honey or sugar (adjust to taste)

1 cup milk (whole, oat, or almond, per preference)

¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Ice cubes (for iced version)

Fresh cherries or a lemon slice, for garnish

Instructions

Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan. Add halved cherries and simmer for 3–4 minutes until they soften and release their juices.

Remove from heat and add the Earl Grey tea bags. Cover and steep for 4–5 minutes.

Remove the tea bags and strain the liquid to separate the cherries.

Stir in cherry syrup (if using) and honey or sugar until fully dissolved. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

For a warm drink: Return the saucepan to low heat and stir in milk until warmed. Do not let it boil.

For an iced version: Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then pour over a glass of ice and add cold milk.

Garnish with fresh cherries or a lemon slice. Serve immediately.

Notes

Skip the cherry syrup for a more natural sweetness, adjusting honey or sugar as needed.

Substitute Earl Grey with black or green tea for a different flavor.

Add a dash of lavender to intensify the floral notes.

Dairy-free? Oat, almond, or coconut milk work great.

Store the iced version in the fridge for up to 24 hours, but fresh is best for flavor and texture.

Leftover cherry tea concentrate can be stored for up to 2 days.
