Description

Tender chicken breasts are seared and simmered in a creamy, herbaceous Boursin cheese sauce for a comforting yet elegant dish.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 5.2 ounces Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs flavor)
  • 1 handful fresh spinach (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and pound to an even thickness. Season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add chicken broth to the skillet and stir in Boursin cheese. Stir until smooth and let reduce for 5 minutes.
  4. Return chicken to skillet, add optional spinach, and heat through. Serve garnished with chopped parsley.

  • Add fresh spinach for extra greens.
  • Try different Boursin cheese flavors like Shallot & Chive.
  • Use low-sodium broth and omit added salt for a lighter version.
