Description
Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups combine the gooey sweetness of cinnamon rolls with the crispy, custardy goodness of French toast in a fun, easy-to-make breakfast treat.
Ingredients
- 1 tube refrigerated cinnamon rolls (unbaked)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Butter or oil, for cooking
- Optional: powdered sugar or extra glaze for topping
Instructions
- Slice each unbaked cinnamon roll in half lengthwise and roll into tight cylinders.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
- Dip each roll-up in the custard mixture, turning to coat all sides.
- Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook roll-ups seam-side down, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through (about 3 minutes per side).
- Drizzle with included glaze or sprinkle with powdered sugar while warm. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Add fruit jam or apple butter inside for a fruity twist.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts inside for added crunch.
- Use low-fat milk and egg whites for a lighter version.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
- Reheat in oven at 350°F for 8 minutes or microwave for 20–30 seconds.
