Ingredients
- 2 cups cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Oil for frying
- ½ can condensed milk
- ½ cup custard (store-bought or homemade)
- Cinnamon sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cake flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add milk and melted butter. Stir to form a soft dough.
- Roll dough into golf ball-sized balls.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry dough balls until golden brown (3–4 minutes). Drain.
- Mix condensed milk and custard in a bowl.
- Once cooled slightly, fill each doughnut using a piping bag with the custard mixture.
- Roll filled doughnuts in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
Notes
- For a twist, substitute custard with chocolate ganache or flavored cream.
- Add nutmeg or cardamom to the sugar coating for extra spice.
- You can bake the dough balls at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes as a lighter option.
- Dough can be prepared a day in advance and refrigerated.
- Use a zip-top bag if you don’t have a piping bag.
