Ingredients

  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Oil for frying
  • ½ can condensed milk
  • ½ cup custard (store-bought or homemade)
  • Cinnamon sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cake flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add milk and melted butter. Stir to form a soft dough.
  3. Roll dough into golf ball-sized balls.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry dough balls until golden brown (3–4 minutes). Drain.
  5. Mix condensed milk and custard in a bowl.
  6. Once cooled slightly, fill each doughnut using a piping bag with the custard mixture.
  7. Roll filled doughnuts in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.

Notes

  • For a twist, substitute custard with chocolate ganache or flavored cream.
  • Add nutmeg or cardamom to the sugar coating for extra spice.
  • You can bake the dough balls at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes as a lighter option.
  • Dough can be prepared a day in advance and refrigerated.
  • Use a zip-top bag if you don’t have a piping bag.
