Description

Soft, colorful cookies with a nostalgic cotton candy flavor, perfect for parties and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp cotton candy flavoring
  • Pink food coloring
  • Blue food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in cotton candy flavoring.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Divide dough into two bowls; add pink food coloring to one and blue to the other, mixing until evenly colored.
  7. Take small pieces of each colored dough, press together lightly, and roll into balls to create a swirl effect.
  8. Optional: Fold in white chocolate chips or candy melts for extra sweetness.
  9. Place cookie dough balls on prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are set but centers are still soft.
  11. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use high-quality cotton candy flavoring for the best taste.
  • Customize colors to match themes or events.
  • For added texture, top with sprinkles before baking.
  • Freeze baked cookies for up to 2 months; reheat briefly before serving.
