Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, cracked black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Toss the fried chicken in the glaze until evenly coated.
  6. Cook macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

  8. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  9. Mix the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni.
  10. Serve the mac and cheese in bowls, topped with glazed chicken and a sprinkle of cracked black pepper or parsley.
