Description
A high-protein, low-carb snack made with just cottage cheese and optional seasonings, baked until crispy. Perfect for keto diets and quick snacking.
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole‑milk cottage cheese (small curds, ideally around 4% milk fat)
- Optional seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, everything‑bagel seasoning, dried herbs, or grated Parmesan
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
- Line a baking sheet with high‑quality parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Use a 1 Tbsp scoop or spoon to place dollops of cottage cheese on the sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Flatten each scoop to about 3⁄16–¼ inch thick using the back of a metal spoon.
- Sprinkle desired seasonings on top.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes, starting to check around 20 minutes, until edges are dark brown and centers are medium‑gold.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely for 20–30 minutes. Chips will firm up as they cool.
- Enjoy once fully cooled. Store in an airtight container at room temperature short-term, or in the fridge/freezer for longer storage. Reheat to re-crisp if needed.
Notes
- Whole-milk, small-curd cottage cheese yields the crispiest chips.
- Use high-quality parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Thinner chips bake faster and get crunchier.
- Can be made in the microwave in small batches for a quick snack.
