Description

A one-pan Garlic Butter Beef & Rice Skillet recipe that combines tender ground beef, fluffy rice, and a rich garlic butter sauce for a quick, comforting, and flavor-packed dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup white rice (uncooked)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups beef broth or water with bouillon
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic and diced onion. Cook until soft and fragrant.
  3. Add the uncooked rice and stir to coat it with the garlic butter mixture.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 18–20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Fluff with a fork, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add vegetables like peas, carrots, or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
  • Top with grated Parmesan or a squeeze of lemon juice for added flavor.
  • Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
