  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 23 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or Italian-style)
  • 23 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a bowl, mix grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Coat the chicken with olive oil or melted butter.
  • Press each chicken piece into the Parmesan mixture, coating all sides evenly.
  • Place the coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the coating is golden and crispy.
  • Let rest a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, add smoked paprika to the breadcrumb mix.
  • To make it spicier, include crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Can also be made in an air fryer: 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in oven or air fryer to retain crispiness.
