Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (preferably 90/10 lean)
- 4 cups shredded green cabbage
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes or 1 teaspoon chili paste (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking oil of choice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in shredded cabbage and cook until tender but still crisp.
- Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.
- Simmer for a few minutes until sauce reduces slightly and coats the mixture.
- Serve hot, topped with sliced green onions.
