These Homemade Easy Cheesy Pizza Pockets are a fun and delicious twist on traditional pizza. With gooey mozzarella, zesty pizza sauce, and crispy golden crusts, they’re easy to make and perfect for busy weeknights, parties, or kid-friendly snacks. Whether baked or air-fried, these cheesy pizza pockets are freezer-friendly, customizable, and totally crave-worthy.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Pizza sauce
  • Pepperoni slices (or other favorite toppings)
  • Italian seasoning
  • Egg (for egg wash)
  • Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour your surface and roll out pizza dough to 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut dough into equal rectangles or circles.
  4. On one side of each piece, layer pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Fold dough over, press edges with a fork to seal, and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Try other fillings like sausage, veggies, or a cheese blend.
  • Dough variations include crescent rolls or puff pastry.
  • Store in fridge up to 4 days; reheat in oven or air fryer for best texture.
  • Freeze unbaked pockets for a quick future meal — just bake from frozen!
