Description

This homemade fresh apple juice is crisp, naturally sweet, and incredibly refreshing. Made with just a blender and simple straining, it requires no fancy equipment and uses all-natural ingredients with optional add-ins like lemon, honey, or mint.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (Gala or Honeycrisp preferred)
  • 3 cups filtered water
  • ½ lemon, freshly squeezed (or about 1 teaspoon lemon juice)
  • 1 tablespoon organic raw honey
  • 5 mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the apples (or leave the skins on for more fiber) and cut them into medium-sized chunks.
  2. In a high-powered blender, combine the chopped apples, filtered water, lemon juice, honey, and mint leaves (if using). Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture through a fine strainer or nut milk bag into a bowl, pressing or stirring to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the pulp.
  4. Chill the juice for 1–2 hours if desired. Shake well before serving. Optionally, serve over crushed ice.
  5. Pour into glasses and enjoy while fresh.

Notes

  • If apples are very sweet, you can skip the honey.
  • Use a mix of apple varieties for a more balanced flavor.
  • Add fresh ginger for a spicy kick.
  • Stir in sparkling water before serving for a fizzy drink.
  • Store juice in the fridge for 2–3 days or freeze for up to a year.
