Description

A big‑batch dry mix for making creamy white hot chocolate by adding to hot milk or water

Ingredients

  • 2 bars (4 ounces each) white chocolate, chilled, roughly chopped
  • 3 cups (204 g) powdered milk
  • 1⅓ cups (167 g) confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • hot milk or hot water, for serving

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of a food processor, add the chopped white chocolate. Process until you have small chocolate chunks.
  2. Add powdered milk, confectioners’ sugar, granulated sugar, and salt.
  3. Continue to process until well combined (the mixture should be fairly uniform).
  4. Store the mix in an airtight container at room temperature (up to one year).
  5. To serve: In a mug, add about ¼ cup of the white hot chocolate mix. Top with 8 ounces of hot milk or hot water, stirring until completely dissolved. Enjoy!

Notes

  • This mix yields about 5½ cups of powder — enough for about 22 mugs if using ¼ cup per serving.
  • Using both confectioners’ sugar and granulated sugar helps balance dissolvability and texture.
  • Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container.
  • The mix can last up to one year, though flavor may fade over time.
  • You can use it in hot water, hot milk, or even coffee.
