Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed
- 1/4 cup blackberry preserves
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread an even layer of blackberry preserves over the puff pastry.
- Place thin slices of brie evenly across the preserves.
- Tightly roll the pastry into a log and slice into ½ to 1-inch thick swirls.
- Place swirls cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until puffed and golden.
- Drizzle with honey and garnish with thyme or rosemary, if using.
Notes
- Swap blackberry preserves with raspberry, fig, or apricot jam for variation.
- Use camembert instead of brie for a stronger flavor.
- To reheat, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes.
