Description

Honeyed Brie-Blackberry Puff Pastry Swirls are elegant, flaky bites filled with creamy brie, tart blackberry preserves, and a touch of honey. Perfect for entertaining or indulging, they offer a delightful balance of sweet and savory flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed
  • 1/4 cup blackberry preserves
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spread an even layer of blackberry preserves over the puff pastry.
  4. Place thin slices of brie evenly across the preserves.
  5. Tightly roll the pastry into a log and slice into ½ to 1-inch thick swirls.
  6. Place swirls cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until puffed and golden.
  9. Drizzle with honey and garnish with thyme or rosemary, if using.

  • Swap blackberry preserves with raspberry, fig, or apricot jam for variation.
