Description

A perfectly seared, juicy steak served with a rich, creamy garlic sauce. This dish is ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions, offering a gourmet experience with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for sauce)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste (for sauce)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare or until the desired doneness is reached.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate, tented with foil.
  5. Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat.
  6. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream, stir to combine, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  8. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Return the steaks to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and warm through for 1-2 minutes.
  11. Serve the steaks topped with creamy garlic sauce and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
  • Letting the steak rest helps retain its juices.
  • For a stronger garlic flavor, roast the garlic beforehand.
  • Double the sauce if serving with pasta or bread.
