Ingredients
- 12 King’s Hawaiian rolls, halved
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls on the sheet, cut-side up.
- In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, egg, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Spoon or pipe the cheesecake mixture onto each roll bottom.
- Place the top halves on diagonally or leave them off for extra creaminess.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the filling is set and edges are lightly golden.
- Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Add fresh fruit or chocolate drizzle for variations.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in a 300°F oven for 5 minutes or microwave for 10–15 seconds.
