- 500 g ground beef
- 250 g egg noodles (or your choice of noodles)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup water or beef broth
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium‑high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through.
- Add garlic and ginger, sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and water (or beef broth).
- Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the beef. Stir and cook 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- If using, add crushed red pepper flakes and stir.
- Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet and mix so the noodles are well coated with sauce and beef.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, then serve warm.
Notes
- For extra vegetables, you can stir in bell peppers, carrots, or snap peas.
- You may use hoisin sauce for a sweeter variation.
- Adjust spice level by increasing or omitting the red pepper flakes.
