Description

Pecan Pie Bark is a quick and easy dessert that brings together the rich, buttery flavors of pecan pie with the crunchy texture of bark and a luscious layer of chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecans, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped (or chocolate chips)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Spread chopped pecans evenly on the baking sheet and toast for 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway, until fragrant and lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Simmer while stirring until the mixture thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the toasted pecans and stir to coat evenly. Spread the mixture on the baking sheet and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  5. Melt the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between.
  6. Drizzle and spread the melted chocolate evenly over the pecan mixture. Let it cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate for quicker setting.
  7. Once hardened, break the bark into pieces and enjoy.

Notes

  • You can substitute semisweet chocolate with milk or dark chocolate.
  • Sprinkle sea salt on top for a sweet-salty twist.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 week or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
  • No reheating needed—enjoy at room temperature for best texture.
