Description

These Strawberry Kiss Cookies—also known as Strawberry Blossoms—are soft, pink, and packed with sweet strawberry flavor, topped with a melty chocolate kiss. Made with cake mix for convenience, they’re festive, fun, and perfect for Valentine’s Day, parties, or cookie swaps. A dreamy strawberry and chocolate combo everyone loves!

Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 2430 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix and flour.
  2. Add oil, eggs, and milk. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Cover and chill the dough for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  5. Scoop dough and roll into balls. Coat each ball in granulated sugar.
  6. Place on baking sheet and bake 8–10 minutes, until edges are set and tops are cracked.
  7. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each warm cookie.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for best shape and texture.
  • Freeze kisses before baking so they hold shape better.
  • Add strawberry extract for more intense flavor.
  • Try with lemon, red velvet, or funfetti cake mix for a twist.
  • Roll in colored sanding sugar for extra flair.
