Ingredients
- 1 bag (12 oz) thick pretzel sticks
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 large egg white
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg white, and vanilla.
- Place pretzel sticks into the bowl and toss until they’re evenly coated.
- In a separate bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.
- Add coated pretzels to the cinnamon‑sugar mixture, tossing until every stick is well covered.
- Spread them in a single layer on a parchment‑lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 15 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even toasting.
- Remove from oven and let them cool completely—they crisp up as they cool.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- Microwave briefly to revive crispness if needed.
- Thinner pretzels can be used with shorter baking time.
- Optional flavor additions: cardamom, nutmeg, parmesan, or melted chocolate drizzle.
- For egg-free version, use neutral oil instead of egg white.
