Description

These Baked Cream Cheese Chicken Taquitos are crispy, creamy, and packed with bold flavors. Perfect for a quick dinner, party appetizer, or lunchbox treat, they offer a lighter, oven-baked twist on the traditional fried version.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa or diced green chiles
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder or taco seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1012 flour or corn tortillas
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded chicken, shredded cheese, salsa or green chiles, and seasonings until well combined.
  3. Warm tortillas slightly to make them easier to roll. Place a few tablespoons of the filling in each tortilla and roll tightly.
  4. Place rolled taquitos seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Lightly spray or brush tops with cooking spray or olive oil.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving with desired dips.
