Description

A rich, creamy, and sweet spread made with butter, honey, powdered sugar, and sea salt, perfect for enhancing baked goods like biscuits, rolls, and cornbread.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Place softened butter in a medium bowl or stand mixer bowl. Beat until smooth using a hand mixer or stand mixer.
  2. Add honey, powdered sugar, and sea salt. Continue to beat at medium speed, scraping the bowl as needed, until fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust honey or salt if desired.
  4. Serve immediately or store in a jar or airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Let refrigerated honey butter sit at room temperature before serving for best spreadability.
  • Can be left out for 1-2 days in a sealed container, but refrigerate for longer storage.
  • Optional variations include adding cinnamon, substituting maple syrup, or mixing in fresh herbs.
  • Honey butter can be frozen for up to 3 months.
