Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream and vanilla.

Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.

In a separate bowl, toss diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Spread half of the batter into the prepared dish. Add apple mixture evenly over the batter. Top with remaining batter.
