Description

These Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, packed with a flavorful blend of paprika, Italian seasoning, and brown sugar. This easy and mess-free recipe makes a delicious dinner that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4-6 chicken drumsticks

Spice Mix

  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Other

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken: Pat 4-6 chicken drumsticks dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Place them in a medium-sized bowl to prepare for seasoning.
  2. Make the seasoning mix: In a small bowl, combine 2 teaspoons paprika, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon brown sugar, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper to create a flavorful spice blend.
  3. Season the chicken: Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to the bowl with the chicken legs. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the chicken, then toss thoroughly until each piece is fully coated in oil and spices.
  4. Air fry the chicken: Arrange the seasoned chicken drumsticks in a single layer in the basket of your air fryer. Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 10 minutes.
  5. Flip and finish cooking: After 10 minutes, flip the chicken drumsticks and continue cooking for an additional 7-8 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink inside and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve: Carefully remove the chicken legs from the air fryer, let them rest briefly, then serve hot and enjoy your crispy, juicy, and flavorful drumsticks.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover chicken drumsticks in the fridge for 4-5 days, or freeze for up to 3-4 months.
  • Reheat: Thaw frozen chicken in the fridge and reheat either in the microwave or for a few minutes in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
  • Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safety.
