Description

A fresh and vibrant Basil Balsamic Vinaigrette that combines the sweetness of honey with the tangy flavor of white balsamic vinegar, balanced by aromatic fresh basil. Perfect for salads, grilled vegetables, or as a flavorful marinade.

Ingredients

Vinaigrette Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup neutral flavored oil such as Grapeseed or Avocado Oil
  • 2 Tbsp White Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 10 large leaves of Fresh Basil, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine Liquids and Seasonings: Place the oil, white balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper in a bowl if using an immersion blender or in a standard blender.
  2. Add Basil and Blend: Roughly chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl or blender. Blend until smooth and homogeneous.
  3. Taste and Adjust: Taste the vinaigrette and adjust salt and pepper if necessary to your preference.

Notes

  • Use a neutral oil like grapeseed or avocado to allow the balsamic and basil flavors to shine.
  • This vinaigrette can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week; whisk or shake before using as the oil may separate.
  • Adjust sweetness or acidity by varying the amount of honey or vinegar to suit your taste.
  • Great for drizzling over fresh greens, grilled vegetables, or as a marinade for chicken or fish.
