Description
A refreshing and nutritious Blackberry Smoothie made with fresh or frozen blackberries, banana, Greek yogurt, and almond milk. Sweetened naturally with stevia, this smoothie is perfect for a quick breakfast or a healthy snack.
Ingredients
Fruits
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
- ½ frozen banana
Dairy
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
Others
- 4 cubes ice
- ½-¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
- a few drops liquid stevia or other natural sweetener (to taste)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Place blackberries, banana, Greek yogurt, ice cubes, and ¼ cup of almond milk into a blender. Blend until the fruit is fully pureed and all ingredients are well combined, creating a smooth texture.
- Adjust Sweetness and Consistency: Taste the smoothie and add a few drops of liquid stevia or your preferred natural sweetener to enhance sweetness. Add additional almond milk, up to ¾ cup total, to reach your desired consistency and blend briefly again if needed.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately for the freshest taste and best texture.
Notes
- Use fresh or frozen blackberries based on availability; frozen will result in a thicker, colder smoothie.
- Adjust the amount of almond milk to control thickness; less milk makes a thicker smoothie, more milk makes it thinner.
- You can substitute the plain Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt for a vegan option.
- Adding ice cubes chills the smoothie and thickens the texture, especially if using fresh fruit.
- Stevia is optional and can be replaced with honey, maple syrup, or omitted entirely depending on preference.
