Description

Butterbeer Fudge is a rich and creamy treat inspired by the beloved Harry Potter beverage. Combining smooth butterscotch and sweet white chocolate, this fudge features a delightful swirl and optional marshmallow topping for added texture and flavor. Perfect for fans of magical sweets and those craving a decadent dessert.

Ingredients

Butterscotch Layer

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups butterscotch chips

White Chocolate Swirl

  • 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Topping (Optional)

  • 1 cup marshmallow bits

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8" x 8" pan with aluminum foil and spray it with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Set aside while you prepare the fudge layers.
  2. Make the Butterscotch Layer: In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add 1 can (14 ounces) of sweetened condensed milk and 3 cups of butterscotch chips. Stir continuously until the butterscotch chips have completely melted and the mixture is smooth and fully combined. Pour this mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  3. Prepare the White Chocolate Swirl: In a separate small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, and 1 cup white chocolate chips. Stir until the white chocolate chips have melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and drizzle this white chocolate mixture over the butterscotch layer in the pan. Use a butter knife to gently swirl the two layers together for a marbled effect.
  4. Add Marshmallow Bits: If desired, sprinkle 1 cup of marshmallow bits over the fudge surface. Press them lightly with your hands to adhere them into the top of the fudge.
  5. Chill the Fudge: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 4 hours or until it is firm enough to cut. Once set, slice into 12 servings and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use aluminum foil lining and cooking spray to easily remove fudge from the pan.
  • Marshmallow bits are optional but add a nice chewy texture on top.
  • Ensure gentle heat to prevent burning or separating chocolate mixtures.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep fresh.
  • For cleaner swirls, drizzle white chocolate in thin lines before swirling with a knife.
