Description

These festive Marshmallow Pops are a delightful treat that bring out the excitement of Halloween for kids and adults alike. Featuring Campfire Marshmallows dipped in vibrant orange and yellow candy wafers, they are easy to make and perfect for parties or fun snacks. The candy coating creates a colorful, crunchy shell while leaving the top of each marshmallow white to resemble candy corn.

Ingredients

Marshmallows

  • 20 Campfire Marshmallows

Coating

  • 8 ounces Orange Candy Wafer melts
  • 8 ounces Yellow Candy Wafer melts

Optional Supplies

  • 1 package Tall Sucker Sticks
  • Plastic Bags for packaging
  • Parchment paper for setting pops

Instructions

  1. Melt Candy Wafers in Microwave: Heat the candy wafers for 30 seconds in the microwave and stir to prevent hot spots. Heat for another 30 seconds and stir again until partially melted. Continue heating in 15 second intervals with stirring in between until the candy wafers are mostly smooth and melted but not overheated.
  2. Alternate Melting Method Using Instant Pot: Pour 2 cups of water into the Instant Pot and place a glass bowl on top. Press the sauté function to bring the water to a boil, creating steam to gently melt the candy wafers in the bowl. Stir with a silicone spatula until fully melted, then press cancel and set to "Keep Warm" to maintain the candy melts’ smooth consistency while dipping.
  3. Assemble Marshmallow Pops: Insert sucker sticks into each marshmallow about three-quarters through to ensure they are secure. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper for easy removal of hardened candy.
  4. Dip Marshmallows in Orange Candy Coating: One at a time, dip each marshmallow into the melted orange candy wafer coating, covering approximately 75% of the marshmallow and leaving the top white. Allow excess coating to drip off and shake gently to remove drips.
  5. Allow Orange Coating to Harden: Place dipped marshmallows on the parchment-lined tray and let the coating set before proceeding.
  6. Dip Tops in Yellow Candy Coating: Melt the yellow candy wafers using the preferred method. Dip the top 25% of each orange-coated marshmallow in yellow to create a layered effect resembling candy corn. Allow all marshmallow pops to fully harden on the parchment paper.
  7. Packaging: Once hardened, marshmallow pops can be placed in plastic or candy apple bags for storage or gifting. Wilton cake pop bags or sandwich bags work well.

Notes

  • Avoid getting any water in the candy wafers or chocolate when melting; moisture causes the candy to seize and become chalky and unusable.
  • Using a tall-sided bowl or mug makes it easier to dip the marshmallows and evenly coat them.
  • Wait until the candy coating is fully hardened before placing the pops into bags to prevent sticking.
