These treats are perfect for a fun, sweet, and crunchy seasonal dessert or snack that’s easy to make and sure to delight kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • ½ Cup unsalted butter (1 Stick)
  • 14 Ounces mini marshmallows
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅛ Teaspoon salt
  • 7 Cups Rice Krispies

Mix-Ins and Toppings

  • 1 Cup M&M’s (Halloween colors)
  • 1 Cup candy corn
  • ¾ Cup pretzel twists (mini)
  • ¼ Cup sprinkles
  • ¼ Cup green candy melts (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray and line the bottom with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
  2. Melt butter: Place the butter in a pot over low heat until fully melted, preparing it as the base for the marshmallow mixture.
  3. Melt marshmallows: Set aside 1½ cups of the mini marshmallows. Add the remaining marshmallows to the pot with the melted butter and stir constantly over low heat until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Add flavorings: Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the salt and vanilla extract to enhance the flavor of the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Combine ingredients: Fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, mini pretzel twists, the reserved 1½ cups marshmallows, M&M’s, sprinkles, and candy corn gently until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  6. Spread mixture: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and use a spatula to evenly press it into an even layer, ensuring uniform thickness.
  7. Melt candy melts: Place green candy melts in a disposable piping bag and microwave on a low or defrost setting, massaging every 30 seconds until fully melted for easy drizzling.
  8. Drizzle and decorate: Allow the treats to cool a few minutes, then snip the tip off the piping bag and drizzle the melted candy over the top. Optionally, sprinkle additional M&M’s, candy corn, pretzels, and sprinkles to decorate.
  9. Cool completely: Let the treats cool on the counter for 30 to 60 minutes until fully set and firm enough to cut.
  10. Slice and serve: Cut the treats into squares and serve as delightful, festive snacks.

Notes

  • Press the mixture gently but firmly into the pan to ensure the treats hold together well.
  • For easier cutting, let the treats cool completely to avoid crumbling.
  • Green candy melts are optional but add a festive decorative touch; you can use any color or skip this step.
  • Store leftover treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
  • Feel free to substitute candy mix-ins according to personal preference or dietary restrictions.
