Description
Chicken Caesar Wraps are a quick, delicious, and satisfying meal featuring chopped romaine lettuce, tender cooked chicken, Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese, and crunchy croutons all wrapped in warm flour tortillas. Perfect for a light lunch or easy dinner that takes just 15 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
Salad Mixture
- 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken (grilled, fried, or rotisserie)
- 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup homemade croutons
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Wraps
- 4 flour tortillas or wraps (10-inch)
Instructions
- Combine Salad Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, chopped cooked chicken, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and homemade croutons. Use tongs to toss everything well until evenly coated. Season the mixture with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Taste and add more dressing if desired. Set aside.
- Warm Tortillas: Heat a large pan over medium heat and warm each tortilla for about 15 to 30 seconds on each side until they become pliable and easy to fold. Alternatively, you can microwave tortillas between paper towels for 15 to 30 seconds. Keep the warmed tortillas covered with a kitchen towel to retain softness and warmth.
- Assemble Wraps: Lay the warmed tortillas on a clean surface. Divide the Caesar salad mixture evenly among them, placing it in the center of each tortilla. Fold in the opposite sides of the tortilla, then roll it up burrito-style to close. Optionally, secure with a toothpick to hold the wrap together. Cut in half or serve whole as preferred.
Notes
- Use leftover or rotisserie chicken for quick preparation.
- For a lighter option, use whole wheat or low-carb tortillas.
- Homemade croutons add extra crunch but store-bought can work as well.
- Adjust Caesar dressing amount to your creaminess preference.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the crisp freshness of the lettuce and the crunch of croutons.
