Description

Easy Baked Cranberry Brie Bites feature flaky puff pastry stuffed with creamy brie cheese and tangy cranberry sauce, baked until golden and gooey. Perfect as a festive appetizer for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any holiday party, these bite-sized treats are simple to make and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, defrosted
  • 4 oz. brie cheese (small cheese wheel)
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce (store bought or homemade)

Optional Garnishes

  • Candied pecans (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a mini muffin tin with cooking spray. Place the wheel of brie in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to firm up for easier cutting.
  2. Cut Puff Pastry: Unroll the defrosted puff pastry sheet onto a clean surface and cut it into 16 equal squares (4 rows by 4 columns). Place each square into the prepared mini muffin tin compartments.
  3. Prepare Brie and Assemble Bites: Remove the brie from the freezer and cut into small cubes. Place one cube of brie into the center of each puff pastry square in the muffin tin. Spoon a small amount of cranberry sauce on top of each brie cube, being careful not to overfill to prevent leaking during baking.
  4. Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the puff pastry is puffed and golden brown. Start checking around 10 minutes as oven temperatures may vary.
  5. Cool and Remove: Remove the tin from the oven and allow the bites to cool for a few minutes. Run a sharp knife around the edges of each muffin cup to loosen, then gently pop the bites out.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped candied pecans and fresh rosemary sprigs if desired. Serve immediately while warm and gooey.

Notes

  • Oven temperatures vary; start checking bites around 10 minutes to avoid overbaking.
  • Substitute cranberry sauce with your favorite jam or savory spread like raspberry jam, apricot jam, fig jam, pesto, or sundried tomato pesto for variety.
