Description

This Easy Candy Corn Bark with Pretzels is a quick and festive treat perfect for Halloween or any autumn celebration. Creamy melted white chocolate is combined with crunchy pretzels and sweet candy corn to create a deliciously sweet and salty bark that requires no baking and can be ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (100g) candy corn (chopped or whole)
  • 1 cup (40g) pretzels (broken into pieces)
  • 12 ounces (340g) quality white chocolate (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8" x 8" baking pan with foil, leaving an overhang on the sides. Spray the foil lightly with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Set the pan aside for later.
  2. Chop Candy Corn and Pretzels: Chop the candy corn and pretzels into your preferred size pieces to ensure they spread evenly on the bark. Set these aside for topping.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Place the chopped white chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously to melt the chocolate slowly and evenly until it becomes smooth and creamy without burning.
  4. Spread Chocolate in Pan: Pour the melted white chocolate into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula or knife to spread the chocolate in an even layer across the entire pan.
  5. Add Toppings and Press: Sprinkle the chopped candy corn and pretzel pieces evenly over the melted white chocolate. Gently press them down using a piece of wax or parchment paper to embed the toppings into the chocolate.
  6. Cool and Set: Allow the bark to cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate until fully set and firm, which usually takes about 30 minutes.
  7. Cut and Store: Using the foil overhang, lift the hardened bark out of the pan. Cut into desired sized pieces with a sharp knife. Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • Be sure to use quality white chocolate for the best flavor and texture.
  • Pressing the candy and pretzels into the chocolate ensures they stick well to the bark.
  • If your kitchen is warm, refrigerate the bark to help it set faster.
  • You can customize the recipe by adding nuts, dried fruit, or other candies if desired.
  • Store the bark in a cool, dry place to prevent melting or sticking.
