Description

These no-bake protein balls are a quick and healthy snack made with wholesome ingredients like rolled oats, peanut butter, flaxseed, and protein powder. Perfect for a nutritious breakfast or an energy-boosting treat, they require no cooking and come together in just minutes.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1½ cups whole rolled oats
  • ¼ cup ground flaxseed
  • 2 scoops protein powder (¼ cup, such as 365 Organic Pea Protein, Unflavored)
  • Pinch sea salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy natural peanut butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 tablespoons mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the oats, peanut butter, ground flaxseed, honey, protein powder, vanilla extract, and mini chocolate chips until the mixture is thick and well combined.
  2. Shape the Balls: Use a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop to portion out the mixture, then roll each scoop into a ball with your hands, forming about 20 protein balls.
  3. Chill to Set: Place the protein balls on a tray or plate and chill them in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours until they are firm and hold their shape well.
  4. Store and Serve: Keep the protein balls stored in the fridge for up to one week or freeze for longer storage. Enjoy them as a healthy snack any time!

Notes

  • You can substitute peanut butter with almond or cashew butter for a different flavor.
  • For a vegan version, replace honey with maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • Use gluten-free oats if you require a gluten-free snack.
  • Add a handful of chopped nuts or seeds for extra crunch and nutrition.
  • Roll the balls in shredded coconut or cocoa powder for added texture and taste.
