Description

These Oreo Balls are a delicious no-bake treat perfect for any occasion. Made from crushed Oreo cookies combined with cream cheese and coated in melted chocolate, these bite-sized delights offer a creamy, crunchy, and chocolatey experience. Easy to prepare and no oven required, they make a great party snack or sweet dessert.

Ingredients

Oreo Balls

  • 36 regular Oreo cookies
  • 1 (8-ounce) package brick-style cream cheese, softened (226 grams)

Chocolate Coating

  • 16 ounces chocolate (semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate all work great) (452 grams)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside for placing the Oreo balls.
  2. Crush Oreos: Add the Oreos to a blender or food processor and process until you achieve fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs into a large mixing bowl. Reserve 1 to 2 tablespoons of crumbs to sprinkle later on top of the balls if desired.
  3. Mix with Cream Cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the Oreo crumbs. Using a handheld mixer, blend them together until fully combined and smooth, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides of the bowl for even mixing.
  4. Form Balls: Measure out tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll them into smooth balls. Place each ball onto the prepared baking sheet. Freeze the tray of Oreo balls for at least 20 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt Chocolate: While the balls chill, chop the chocolate and place it in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20 to 30 second increments, stirring thoroughly after each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  6. Coat Oreo Balls: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Place back on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs on top immediately after dipping to decorate.
  7. Chill to Set: Place the coated Oreo balls back in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes or until the chocolate has completely hardened. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use brick-style cream cheese for best consistency.
  • You can use semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate based on preference.
  • Freeze the Oreo balls before dipping to make coating easier.
  • Store the finished balls in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a decorative touch, sprinkle reserved crumbs or colored sprinkles immediately after coating.
