Ingredients
Vegetables & Peppers
- 2 medium roasted red peppers
- 1 red chili pepper (or chili flakes, use as much as desired)
Dairy
- 1 cup feta cheese (approx. 250g or 8.5oz), crumbled
Pantry Staples
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar (can substitute with other vinegars)
Instructions
- Add ingredients to food processor: Place the roasted red peppers, crumbled feta cheese, olive oil, and red wine vinegar into a food processor.
- Prepare chili pepper: Wearing gloves, slice the red chili pepper in half and add half of it to the food processor. This allows you to control the heat level.
- Process the dip: Blend the mixture until smooth and well combined.
- Taste and adjust heat: Sample the dip, and if more spice is desired, add more chili pepper or chili flakes gradually, pulsing again until you achieve your preferred heat level.
Notes
- Use gloves when handling chili peppers to avoid irritation.
- Adjust the amount of chili to suit your spice tolerance.
- For a smokier flavor, roast your own red peppers if not using pre-roasted ones.
- This dip pairs wonderfully with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or as a condiment for grilled meats.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 3-4 days for best freshness.
