Description

A refreshing and naturally sweetened peach lemonade made with fresh peaches, lemon juice, and a homemade peach syrup, perfect for a cooling summer beverage.

Ingredients

Peach Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup honey (or sugar)
  • 4 ripe peaches, cut into slices

Lemonade

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 6-8 lemons)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Peach syrup (prepared from above)

Instructions

  1. Make the peach syrup: In a saucepan, combine 1 cup water, ½ cup honey (or sugar), and the sliced peaches. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes to extract the flavors and create the syrup.
  2. Strain the syrup: Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the mixture to remove the peach skin and pulp, collecting the smooth peach syrup.
  3. Prepare the lemonade: In a large pitcher, mix 1 cup fresh lemon juice, 4 cups cold water, and the prepared peach syrup. Stir well to combine.
  4. Serve: Pour the peach lemonade over ice and enjoy immediately for a refreshing drink.

Notes

  • You can substitute honey with sugar or your preferred sweetener according to taste.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less peach syrup or lemon juice based on preference.
  • Use ripe and fresh peaches for the best flavor in the syrup.
  • Serve the lemonade chilled or over plenty of ice for maximum refreshment.
